Happy New Year everyone!!
We had a fairly quiet New Year - in Japan New Year day is celebrated. My mum and my brother and his fiance came over for New Year Day feasting. Brian went back to work on Monday and Tyson went back to School today.
We are off to Shiga Kogen in Nagano from 9th September and there is plenty of snow now so it should be fun. Shiga Kogen is the biggest ski resort in Japan there is about 20 plus mountains all connected to each other. We are staying in the Prince resort there which is in front of the slopes, a truly ski in/out resort. There is a gondola station inside the hotel. Big plus for me is that there is a child care centre there that take kids from 3 months old! I get to play on the snow as well! and maybe visit the day spa in the hotel.

My first Christmas
We went to the Ski resort in Naeba, Niigata from the 23rd and had planned to spend Christmas there but we came home on Christmas eve as there was no snow! Usually there is heaps of snow by mid December but this year the Snow season was slow. Lucky we left early as there was a blizzard on Christmas Day and roads were closed. It was nice to spend Christmas at home. Mia had no idea what was going on...

Some more photos of Mia
Here are some more photos of Mia, she is about 4 weeks old now - time flys!
She is turning into quite a princess, she crys as soon as her nappy is wet, the room temperature has to be just right or she crys, if there isnt someone with her all the time when she is awake she crys.
Brian says she is a princess just like me!!
The sleep deprivation etc disappears as soon as I look at her - she is so beautiful.
Check out her double chin! She was born with it - she has a big appetite like me. Most babies in Japan are born about 2.5 kg at the heaviest so Mia was massive by Japanese standards!
